Ruben Baza-Martines, 25, was taken into custody Tuesday by the U.S. Border Patrol after being stopped by Benson police. Baza-Martines had been sent back to Mexico in 2002 after being sentenced to 18 months in 2001 for taking indecent liberties with a child, according to authorities who could not immediately provide details of that North Carolina case.
