Man wanted on sex charges arrested near Douglas Associated Press Jul. 16, 2004 02:40 PM DOUGLAS - A 31-year-old convicted sex offender wanted in California was found east of Douglas, Border Patrol officials said. Ronald Chinchilla Barahona, who is from El Salvador, admitted Thursday that he entered the United States illegally. He told agents he was from Mexico and gave them a false name, said officials from the Border Patrol's Tucson sector. A fingerprint check revealed Chinchilla's identity. It indicated he had been convicted of lewd acts with a child and was wanted on an outstanding warrant from California on unspecified felony sexual offenses. The Border Patrol said Chinchilla was awaiting extradition to California. www.azcentral.com
